Montecarlo Satisfactions
In Montecarlo, during the second stage of the GP2 season, I obtained a sixth and third place which allowed me to climb to the fifth position in the championship standings (28 points). Definitely a step in the right direction! I am pleased to have been able to give continuity to my level of performance in Barcelona, where I brought home the first points of 2016. In addition to this, Russian Time is now the top ranking team in the championship. I am satisfied because the improvements, both mine and the team’s, have been consistent. There is still ample room for improvement though, and I must work hard to grow even more. The objective is to win races, and I believe that it is fully within my reach. With regard to my podium in Monaco, what can I say… It’s a fantastic feeling. It is one of the most fascinating tracks. Overtaking is hard, the tension is sky high, and because at every second you’re speeding away inches from the curbs, you pay dearly for any mistake. For us drivers it is an exhausting race, but also an exciting one. The next stage of the GP2 will take place in three weeks at an unprecedented location: Azerbaijan. Stay tuned!

Soddisfazioni monegasche
A Montecarlo, nel secondo appuntamento stagionale della GP2, ho centrato un 6. e un 3. posto che mi hanno permesso di risalire fino alla quinta piazza della classifica generale (28 punti). Bilancio positivo! Ho dato continuità a quello che avevo fatto a Barcellona, dove avevo raccolto i primi punti del 2016, e questo è un bene. Oltretutto il mio team, il Russian Time, ora comanda la classifica a squadre. Sono soddisfatto soprattutto perché i miglioramenti, miei e del team, sono costanti. Ci sono però ancora margini di progressione e nel prossimo futuro devo lavorare per crescere ulteriormente. L’obiettivo è la vittoria, credo che i mezzi ci siano. Andare a podio a Monaco? Cosa devo dire… È fantastico! Per me è uno dei circuiti più affascinanti in assoluto. Sorpassare è molto difficile, la tensione è altissima a ogni curva e in ogni momento, si viaggia a pochissimi centimetri dai muretti, non sono concessi errori. Per noi piloti correre qui è piuttosto faticoso ma sempre emozionante. Il prossimo appuntamento (del tutto inedito) tra 3 settimane in Azerbaijan. Stay tuned!
